Telling the various Cranesbill species in the Geranium genus apart can be tricky, with garden cultivars adding to the confusion. Wildflower society cranesbill answer storkbill guide.  Cranesbills are mainly pink but the Meadow Cranesbill is a fabulous blue (photo taken 2 weeks ago in Frank’s Wood). Although no longer in flower, you may be able to spot shining cranesbill from its small shiny leaves. It is one of Will Knight’s favourite flowers and is quite common on our verges. He just might have something to do with that!
